Local Councillor Cormac Devlin has requested the Council to address the drainage problem at the corner of Barrett Street, York Road, Dún Laoghaire:
QUESTION: Councillor Cormac Devlin
To ask the Manager to alleviate the re-occurring flooding on the corner of Barrett Street (address supplied) that causes difficulty for that particular house and pedestrians alike?
Reply:
The Road Maintenance Section is aware of a road flooding problem at the corner of Barrett Street and York Road and will have to consider options to bring about a resolution of the issue. The fact that the footpath is dished for accessibility purposes and that there is an Eircom chamber located in the footpath at the same location, are
factors which will make it difficult to resolve.
However, it is included on a list of flooding locations requiring further examination with a view to alleviating the flooding problem at the earliest possible opportunity.
