ABOUT CORMAC

In June 2016, Cormac was elected An Cathaoirleach of Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. This made him the first Fianna Fáil Cathaoirleach of the Council in over a decade.

Cormac was elected to the 33rd Dáil in February 2020 making him the 14th Fianna Fáil TD to serve the Dún Laoghaire constituency and the first to win a seat for Fianna Fáil since 2011.

In December 2020, An Taoiseach Micheál Martin appointed Cormac as Deputy Whip of Fianna Fáil and Dublin Spokesperson. 

Prior to his election to the Dáil, Cormac served as a councillor for Dún Laoghaire from 2004 until 2020. Cormac served as Fianna Fáil Group Leader.
