DEVLIN RUBBISHES FINE GAEL CLAIM THAT FUNDING FROM GOVERNMENT IS REQUIRED FOR POTTERY ROAD RESTORATION PROGRAMME:

Councillor Devlin has rubbished claims made by a Fine Gael politician that funding from central Government is required for the proposed (yet much needed!) road & footpath     up-grade of Pottery Road. Cllr. Devlin has been battling for the up-grade for over 5 years and states that Fine Gael & Labour are in power on the Council - "if they really wanted the road & footpaths repaired, then they should find the money elsewhere as there are still funds available for such schemes within the County Council.

DEVLIN RAISES CONCERNS OF RESIDENTS OVER SPRING GROVE EXPANSION PLANS:

Councillor Cormac Devlin raised the concerns of local residents in Clonkeen Grove & Crescent about the proposed increase of operational hours (to a 24 hour plant) at the Spring Grove laundry. For more information please click here

COUNCILLOR DEVLIN VOTES AGAINST CLAMPING IN THE COUNTY:

Councillor Devlin voted against the clamping proposal by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. Cormac reminded Management that "it is elected representatives that make the decisions....not Management". He is critical of his fellow Councillors (particularly the Green Party) who voted in-favour of clamping. Read More.

DEVLIN WELCOMES EU-WIDE BAN ON DOG & CAT FUR

DEVLIN WELCOMES RETURN OF 46A BUS ROUTE THROUGH MONKSTOWN FARM:

Local Councillor, Cormac Devlin has welcomed the decision by Dublin Bus to resume full service of the 46A through Mounttown/Monkstown Farm. "This bus route is a vital service to this area and provides public transport to and from Dún Laoghaire for many local people" stated Cllr. Devlin. Cormac insisted that the Council and Dublin Bus would work through the difficulties faced by the buses and restore full service. The Council have stated that they will be painting Double Yellow Lines at 5 key locations along Oliver Plunkett Road to ensure that the safery concerns of Dublin Bus are addressed.

NEW CLUB HOUSE AT SOLDIERS & SAILORS FOOTBALL FIELD OPEN:

Local Councillor for the area, Cormac Devlin has welcomed the finishing and opening of the modern dressing rooms at Soldiers & Sailors Football Field (Monkstown Avenue). "This project took so long to begin and complete, that I am delighted to finally see it open for use by Carriglea & Farm United Football Clubs. I was glad to be of assistance to the Clubs in raising awareness with the Council in order to get the project off the ground" stated Cllr. Devlin.
